Hi i have jus become a member as my dad has finally decided to get me insured on our Stag.
However, the spring that keeps the back of the soft top down was broken on ours so we got a new one, closed the roof but now it wont release. Does anyone know why this could be happening.
Thanks

They stick usually because the striker pin is out of line; try banging the bottom edge at the sides (try left and right) whilst someone pulls on the lever, it usually works. Also release the front levels see if that helps. Let us know.

Could be the pull wire or the catch that has rusted slightly. A bit of WD40 would be my first reaction to loosen the problem areas, then look in if it is rusted badly or not and replace if necessary.
