Preparing to fit a new set of Gaskets but the head studs are corroded to the head and are immovable. Any ideas on how to free the studs. Have tried nusing lock nuts and even a wedge without success

Get all the bolts out first. Then you need to use a stud remover tool as sold by HRS (Tony Hart). Very tricky job though. You will probably break a couple of studs, then you would need a special head removal tool with a jack to press the head off.
