Hi I'm about to convert my Stag from standard engine (2 x blown head gaskets, associated studs stuck in head, and a lot of swearing) to Triumph 2500.
I've had such a combination before in another car- it had a shortened triumph 2000 exhaust which was a bit throaty & noisy. I was wondering whether it's somehow possible to use the orignal exhaust (daresay it is with a bit of 'adjustment') but I was wondering what would be likely to happen by running the straight sizx through the V8 exhaust. Options would be to split the manifold and have 2 exhausts, 3 cylinders aside, or only use the driver's side half of the exhaust, blank the link between the exhausts off and adapt the downpipe accordingly.
The reason I'm thinking this was is because the car is currently really quiet from the inside and I'd love to keep it that way ! It wouold be a real bummer to apply the Triumph 2500 exhaust and find it's all noisy
Any thoughts ? |
